LISTSERV Maestro Hardware Requirements

LISTSERV Maestro is an enterprise-class system that requires correct installation and proper hardware and infrastructure for effective use. L-Soft, therefore, recommends its professional installation service (which includes initial orientation) to assist you in using LISTSERV Maestro quickly and effectively from the start.

Requirements

In addition to the LISTSERV Maestro components provided by L-Soft, the following is required:

  • User Database (An optional source of recipient data for email jobs)
  • Web Server (The source of Web content in email jobs)
  • Domain Name System (DNS) (Used by the SMTP server to resolve email job delivery destination addresses)
  • An SMTP-compliant mail server through which to send outgoing mail

General Remarks

  • As always with hardware recommendations, mileage can and will vary. These are minimum recommendations that should be sufficient 90% of the time. If in doubt, contact L-Soft.
  • Normally, only one server is required up to and including size XL. Many XXL installations also fit on a single server.
  • These recommendations are based on hardware currently available for purchase. Please contact L-Soft to evaluate the suitability of older, existing hardware.
  • The hardware requirements for XXL assume no more than 5 million daily deliveries. Contact L-Soft for larger workloads.
